Plans for Next Year?

As a sophomore-level student taking Mediaworks, I am somewhat atypical. Having another two years ahead of me, I have been thinking awhile now about what I want to do next year. I have been entertaining 3 options:

I am currently leaning towards SOS: Media, because Ruth Hayes is teaching it, and I think that her area of expertise intersects nicely with the areas of media I am interested in pursuing more thoroughly, namely: animation and Max/MSP and Jitter. I don’t think that any other option (besides an independant contract, and I would rather have the somewhat structured format of SOS) will give me the capability to really combine my studies my first year at Evergreen in Mathematics and Computer programming with my new skills in the realm of media.

One of the internships would be nice, but I’m not sure I want to take that route on my Junior year. Though aspects of many are interesting, none of the programs listed for next year seem like a perfect fit, therefore I am inclined to create curriculum for myself that is the perfect fit to my interests. I realize that this doesn’t necessarily lead directly to diversification of knowledge, and I hope to offset that somewhat with a well-positioned evening and weekend class or two.

The question of what to do after Mediaworks remains a challenging one. I hope that my indecision-plagued self is up to the difficult task of deciding my own future, and I would enjoy hearing advice or your own plans and thoughts regarding this matter from you fellow Mediaworks students out there in Blog-Land.
